Latin Courses Offered

Upcoming Courses

Have you ever been interested in learning the Latin language, but just didn’t know how? Have you tried learning by yourself, and found the grammar too difficult to understand?

Have no fear!

This brand new class is designed to make the study of Latin absolutely fun and painless. There will be no boring tables to memorise, nor will there be any abstract grammatical concepts to learn.

Instead, the learning of the Latin language will be taught through a series of games and activities that have been specially designed to aid in the learning of the Latin language. In fact, it is suitable for anyone of any age group! No one is too young or too old to learn!

Admission is free. A love offering bag will be passed around to defray the costs of the venue and materials.

To register, please contact Jonathan at johnpaulsim@gmail.com or 8 157 157 5 (handphone).

  6. Latin and Sacred Scripture
  7. In-depth Study of the Nicene Creed in Latin

Minimum Requirements: None. Just come and have a fun time!

The next Level I Latin is scheduled to begin sometime in December 2010/January 2011.

In Level II, participants are exposed to the words of the Holy Mass in Latin, so as to develop a greater appreciation and love for the Sacred Liturgy. Little grammar will be taught as this course aims to help participants to be comfortable and familiar with the grammar taught in Level I. Greater focus is made on vocabulary so that the participants may become more familiar with Ecclesiastical Latin.

At the moment, there are no plans to start Level II Latin anytime soon.

Minimum Requirements: Attended Level I Latin

In Level III, participants embark on a study of the Psalms and other prayers found in the Liturgy of the Hours (also known as the Divine Office), so as to be more familiar with Latin words often used in the Church.
