Chant: Regina Caeli Laetare

Now that it’s Easter, we won’t be praying the Angelus. Instead, we shall be praying the Regina Caeli. Also, traditionally, this is the Marian Anthem sung after Compline (Divine Office, Night Prayer). So… here are the chant for you to learn!

Regina caeli laetare, alleluia.
Quia quem meruisti portare, alleluia.
Resurrexit, sicut dixit, alleluia.
Ora pro nobis Deum, alleluia.

Queen of heaven, rejoice, alleluia!
for he whom you were worthy to bear, alleluia!
has risen as he said, alleluia!
Pray for us to God, alleluia!
